How we measureFit guide

Flat garment measurements

The tag is a clue. The measurements tell the story.

Vintage sizing has changed a lot over the decades. We measure every garment lying flat so you can compare it with something in your closet that already fits the way you like.

Best fit trick

Measure a favorite garment, not your body.

Lay it flat, use the same measurement points below, and compare the numbers directly with the listing.

1

Bust / chest

Armpit to armpit, measured flat and doubled.

2

Waist

Straight across the natural waist, measured flat and doubled.

3

Hips

Straight across the fullest part, measured flat and doubled.

4

Length

Highest shoulder point to the hem unless the listing says otherwise.

5

Sleeve

Shoulder seam to cuff. Raglan sleeves are measured from the neckline.

6

Rise / inseam

For pants: crotch seam to waist, and crotch seam to hem.
